Sales Cockpit – Steering sales activity

2019–2025 · Financial markets · Desktop application

The request

In a single day, a salesperson tracks their performance, works through their actions and focuses on one client. The request was for one solution covering that whole day in the Murex platform, with game mechanics to keep people engaged.

The solution

I ran workshops with the business stakeholders to describe a typical day. Three scenarios came out of them: tracking your indicators, working through a condensed action list, focusing on one client. I organised the cockpit in that order, the order of a salesperson arriving in the morning, and built the gamification onto the indicators. Deliverables: mockups and a Figma prototype.

Information hierarchy

Fitting all of that into one solution was the hard part. I laid the page out in the order a salesperson needs it when they sit down in the morning: performance first, then the action list, then client-level detail. Gamification sits on top of the indicators, so that checking them becomes a habit.

The hard part: fitting everything a sales desk needs into a single solution.
